Okay, so, I've had this RP idea in my head for the past... since midnight. Been tweaking with it, toying with the idea, sculpting it into something remarkably seductive. It's the sorta game I wanna play in, not run though. Mostly due to laziness.
Anyway, if you've never seen "Life After People," watch it. It's interesting. It's also the basis of this world design. The world your character wakes up in has been abandoned. Cities overrun by wildlife and vegetation, buildings beginning to succumb to erosion and decay. The world has been consumed by the nature Humans destroyed, or nearly did. You arrive in the game several months after you arrive in the world. Mostly as a means to make sure no matter who you play, they can at least feed themselves. And know how not to get eaten by the bear. Possibly even know how to eat the bear too.
Here's a GoogleDoc of my notes.
Here's a GoggleDoc of an app sample.
Comments, crits, wild accusations? Really, I'm all ears.

on 2010-03-29 08:00 pm (UTC)Well, my first thought watching it was "Hey, these would be neat FPS maps." Then after a year I go "You know, an RP would be good too."
